EXTERIORS OF THE ALHAMBRA AND THE HISTORIC CENTER

We began our tour at the imposing Puerta de la Justicia, one of the most emblematic and best preserved entrances to the Alhambra, a symbol of the splendour of Granada Nazari. From the outside of the Alcazaba, the old military fortress of the monumental complex, we will enjoy a magnificent view of the Albaicín, the historic neighborhood declared a World Heritage Site that preserves the urban layout of the Andalusian era

Our route will take us to Los Aljibes, where we will remember the famous Jondo Singing Contest of 1922 promoted by Federico García Lorca and Manuel de Falla, a fundamental event for the dissemination and conservation of flamenco. We will continue to the Puerta del Vino and the Palace of Carlos V, an exceptional example of Renaissance architecture in the heart of the Alhambra

We will descend the Cuesta del Rey Chico following the course of the Darro River, discovering stories, legends and Granada's close relationship with flamenco. We will pass by the Church of San Pedro, El Bañuelo and the House of Mariana Pineda before arriving at Plaza Nueva. The visit will continue through the lively Boiler House and the Corral del Carbón, ending at the Town Hall Square after a journey that combines history
