description: Join us on a guided tour through two of the most beautiful towns in the Madrid area. The tour starts at our office in Madrid, we’ll take the metro (Underground) for half an hour. From there we bicycle to Chinchón. Our guide will take you on a ride through the winding streets of this unique, medieval town. There’ll be time for a few stops, including a visit to the 16th-century castle with stunning views stretching to Madrid.

After a ride along the gorgeous River Tagus, we’ll arrive in Aranjuez. Next, we’ll head to the spectacular Royal Palace that was since the times of Isabel la Católica the leisure palace and gardens (within the most important historical gardens in Europe) of the Spanish monarchs. We’ll spend time exploring its eclectic mix of architectural styles, as well as its luscious gardens, before heading back to Madrid by train.
what_is_included: E Bike or Hybrid Bike, helmet (mandatory), one pannier p.p. (on request), one bottle of water p.p., transportation from our office in Madrid or the nearest train / subway station (forth and back), entrance to the Gardens of Aranjuez, if there is time enough (60 km tour).
what_is_not_included: Lunch is not included, but we gladly arrange for this, since we know the best places in the area and on our route.

highlights: - Chinchón is a pintoresque medieval-baroque small town. Its main square, in the shape of a half moon, used to host bull fights seen by the followers from the surrounding balconies.
Hemingway, Ava Gardner, Burt Lancaster, Frank Sinatra and Orson Wells are only some of the many prominent visitors of the underground cellars and taverns.in Chinchón.
- The valley of the Tagus river is quiet the opposite to the granite high mountain range in the north of Madrid. Thyme grows on the sandy grounds, torn up by rabbits.
The closer we get to Aranjuez, the greener the landscape: asparagus is grown on the fields surrounding the Jarama and Tajuña river.
- The Palace and Gardens of Aranjuez, world famous for the Concierto de Aranjuez by Maestro Rodrigo.

disclaimers: While all of our tours are conducted at a leisurely pace, we want our clients to have fun and be safe, so knowing how to ride a bike well is paramount.
All of our bike tours are perfect for skilled cyclists. You must have excellent balance, be able to start and stop comfortably, and be familiar with hand brakes. We will be riding on paved and unpaved (gravel) roads, sometimes uneven. Safety is our number one priority, but self-confidence is the first step to overall group safety.
If you are unsure, we invite you to come to our office about 20 minutes before your tour start time to test ride the bikes. There are no refunds for last-minute cancellations!

Please contract a travel and medical insurance (check your travel insurance, if it covers bike tours up to 1000 meters above sea level).

Our bikes and other equipment must be returned at the end of the guided tour in the same condition as they were delivered. We will charge you for any repairs that are necessary due to negligent handling of the bicycles.
